Experienced Accountant | Tourism Sector | Milos Island

About Us Milos Greece  is a premier tourism office located on the beautiful island of Milos. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional travel experiences for our clients. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team and manage our financial operations.

The Role We are looking for a professional with a strong background in accounting, specifically within the tourism and travel industry. You will be responsible for the day-to-day financial management of our office, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily Accounting: Managing daily bookkeeping, invoicing, and data entry.

  • Expense Management: Tracking and categorizing office and operational expenses.

  • Tourism Specifics: Handling supplier payments, agency commissions, and reconciliation of travel packages.

  • Compliance: Ensuring compliance with current tax regulations (MyData, VAT, etc.) relevant to Greek travel agencies.

  • Reporting: Preparing monthly financial reports for management.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Accountant (Experience in a Tourism Office/Travel Agency is mandatory).

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field.

  • Excellent knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Epsilon Net, Metabyte) and MS Excel.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Fluency in Greek; professional proficiency in English is preferred.
