We start heading northwest towards Cape Vani, an imposing 30-meter rock from the 19th-century. We continue sailing, passing the bay of Triades and Ayios Ioannis. Then we reach our first swim stop: Sykia, the biggest cave in Milos. Take some photos at the cave entrance in the emerald waters. After your first swim, it’s time for Brunch.
Next destination, Kleftiko, the most popular village in Milos. Except for its’ pirate history, these unique white rocks create one of the most beautiful landscapes in the world. When you get back to the Catamaran it’s time for our refreshments, local snacks, and cold beers.
Leaving Kleftiko, we continue sailing the south Milos, passing by the bay of Gerontas, Provatas, and the famous beaches of Fyriplaka and Tsigrado. Then we reach our next swim stop, the bay of Gerakas, one of the best beaches in Milos, accessible only by the sea.
Next stop: Theiorychia, where the abandoned 1870’s sulfur mines still stand creating a unique landscape. Take some photos and continue towards the island of Poliegos, the largest uninhabited Greek island and home to some of the most impressive waters in the Mediterranean. There you will find: Galazia Nera . The transparency and fluorescent color of the sea are beyond words making this one of the best beaches in the whole of Greece! Here we will enjoy our swim and a delicious lunch prepared freshly on board.
Our next stop is Glaronisia, the seagull islands. This uninhabited island is a rare geological phenomenon consisting, completely, of hexagonal-shaped lava rocks. A short photo stops here to admire the landscape and feed the seagulls.
The final part of our trip consists of sightseeing in the bay of Adamas. Sailing close to the east coast of the bay, we will then pass the ‘Arkoudes’, the impressive 20ft bear-shaped rocks at the entrance of the bay to the east and continue to the fisherman villages of Fourkovouni, Areti, and Klima, the capital of ancient Milos and where the statue of Venus de Milo was discovered. While you take beautiful photos you can also learn some historical facts about the island, as a part of our guided tour.
Our cruise ends with the sun in the back and beautiful sunset colors. We return to Adamas port around 19:00.
